Before I read the original report in WaPo, I had a 'sense' dem voters expected a huge blue wave.

I've been paying close attention to all the candidates' ads from Poindexter to Acton to Brown. Republican ad frequency seems to run 3/2 times more than dem's ads. All the dem candidates have been put on the defense, not surprised. Problem with responding [and they should] is they tend to go off message. Case in point: Poindexter has gone off his original message, which I thought was good. I understand the money issue, but he needs to tell the voters what he's for, against and will try to do if he wins. And I believe the races will be a lot closer than anticipated. Reason? Big Corp & billionaire fascists with their radical Christian nationalist cohort have power and are the closest they've ever been to destroying democracy. They won't give up easily so will do anything they need to do to hold power.
