New FEC filings reveal the true scale of corporate PAC spending in Ohio's 7th District Democratic primary — nearly three times larger than we previously reported.
Quite frankly, I'm thrilled with the news that just came out about Poindexter winning the primary. I'd rather beat a Republican with a Democrat like him than lose with someone else.
As a party, we seem to sometimes lose sight of the bigger picture. Winning elections needs to be our first priority, period.
I think we’re all happy for Poindexter, and now we’re going to focus on beating Miller.
But you’re commenting on a post about outside spending in the primary, and I don’t think anyone is losing sight of the bigger picture by reporting or acknowledging the facts of a race while voters are still deciding who to support.
Saying people shouldn’t discuss those facts because there’s a “bigger picture” is exactly the kind of thinking that shuts down transparency in primaries. That’s not healthy for democracy.
